The
Performers
| John
Goss |
It's
been a dream of John's to be in a Doo-Wop group since he was a kid
listening to "The Nylons". Not only to sing the cool rhythmic
base line but the high tenor descants and everything in between. Not
to mention the creative opportunities to arrange true classics or
write original pieces and then hear them live. John's been performing
in choir, barbershop and jazz groups for years, usually associated
with a musical production of some kind. He has been seen in numerous
professional productions throughout the West including Holland America
cruise lines, Boulder Dinner Theatre, Aspen Theatre in the Park, and
Aspen's own community theatre. John's also very busy directing and
choreographing many local school productions and loves taking advantage
of the incredible outdoor activities the Aspen valley has to offer.
"Thanks Terra, Scott and Jeff for making this happen.'' |

| Jeff
Bestic |
Jeff
has been singing since he discovered that music was a great way to
meet girls. His brother taught him how to sing harmony at an early
age and ever since he has left the melody for others. From the usual
school groups to performing at a local theatre restaurant (where he
fell in cahoots with Scott and Terra), he can always be had for a
song. He is currently involved with the Aspen Chapel Choir, the Aspen
Choral Society and as a member of Shemp and the Sour Notes. When he
is not working or singing, Jeff is a Captain with the Aspen Volunteer
Fire Department. |

| Terra
Vestrand |
Terra
came to Aspen in 1976 to sing, dance and sling hash at the Crystal
Palace. Since those days she has performed as a solo performer with
various local bands and has sung and danced in local theatre productions
but her true love is singing in harmony, preferably A Cappella. Along
with Debbie Weldon and Valerie Lee, her A Cappella trio “The
Mood Elevators” has been bringing music of the 30’s 40’s
and 50’s to the valley for 20 years. She is also member of the
Dickens Carolers - an A Cappella octet. The best fun of all though
is being a member of “The Altitones”. The music is up
and happy, and being the only chick in the group, she always gets
her way. |

| Scott
MacCracken |
Scott
has been listening to and singing Doo-Wop songs practically all his
life. One may ask him the words of many an oldie but chances are he
knows better the oohs and the wop-wop-wops of the back-up part. Since
earning a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance he has sung in a
variety of venues from South America to Europe, New York to Aspen.
He is comfortable in performing music from Bach to Sondheim and The
Fleetwoods to Fleetwood Mac, with such organizations as the Crested
Butte Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, New York's Town Hall Series,
and Mahatma and the Gondoliers. |
